Exterior touches

This is one of the "knee braces" that Ken built for the peaks of the exterior. There are three of these on each of the 4 roof peak sections.

Here is a view of the front exterior as of 1/17/09.

And here is the front door. Right now it is unpainted.

Decisions, decisions--many yet to come

Today we walked through the house and figured out where most of the light fixtures, outlets, heaters, switches, etc. will go. It is challenging to envision where the best place for all of these is-- not a glamorous job, but important for every day convenience.

While we were doing this, more siding went up on the outside.

Going up and up...

The holidays are over, so the work has started anew. The siding is moving on up to the second floor. The rest of the doors have arrived, but are not installed yet.
